Beginner's Guide to Selecting an Automation Firm
Once the application is clearly defined, and you've determined a few integrators qualified for your application, start looking at the integrators bidding on your project. Look at the company, including: the companies professional staff, number of employees, existing projects completed, and who they have done business with in the past. There are a lot of single-employee integrators out there, and problems can arise if they have multiple customers and you are in need of support when they are stretched thin. Not many integrators will commit to on-site support within 24 hours. An in-person meeting at the integrator's facility or a day trip to various customers' of the integrator to see completed projects running in the field, is a great way of gaining confidence in the integrator.
